A Celebration of Art and Agriculture at the UAS Gallery
The UAS Gallery in Manila recently opened a unique art exhibit aptly titled “Sining at AgriKultura” on August 4, 2024. This unique event brought together artists and agricultural advocates to collaborate and to discuss the intersection of art and farming. Ms. Liza Sacdalan, Chair of the Central Luzon Organic Rice Producers Association, and Architect Angelo Malabana from Urban Farmers PH graced the exhibit as guest speakers. Their insightful perspectives enriched the event, along with those of the participating artists who shared their passion for art and their support for the farming community.
The exhibition, open until August 30, 2024, is more than just a beautiful art showcase. It is also a platform for dialogue about the challenges and opportunities facing our agricultural sector and the state of our nation’s food security. It is a great combination of art and agriculture, creating a powerful statement about the crucial role of farming in our country. It also serves as a rallying cry for supporting our Filipino farmers and promoting innovative partnerships to ensure a sustainable future with enough food for the next generation.
